Art therapy targets burnout as a way to cope with stressful work demands and environment and reinforce resilience

Burnout is a result of chronic stress stemming from external pressure (tasks, colleague confrontations, increased workload, deadlines, client demands) as well as internal ones (insecurities, thoughts, feelings).

Art making helps you slow down and, if you allow yourself to get in “the flow”, re-sets your mind to a fresh start and re-boost your energy drive. It can give you the same stillness and “liberating” experience as meditation, with the added benefit of nourishing your senses (of touch, sight and smell, for example).

It helps you sleep better and stress less, by fostering joy and gratitude. When done in groups, it helps boost human connections.
